June 2025

Young Harris Seafood Festival

Where: Young Harris, GA

Dates: May 30th – June 1st

Admission: Adults are $5 & Kids 12 & under are free

Seafood in the mountains? Absolutely. Kick off the summer season with buttery shrimp, fresh oysters, and fried everything at this community favorite. There’s live music, local vendors, and enough flavor to transport your tastebuds to the coast.

Happy Together Tour 2025

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: June 6th

Admission: Tickets available for purchase

If you’ve got a soft spot for the hits of the ‘60s and ‘70s, this concert is a must. Think The Turtles, Jay & The Americans, and other icons under the stars, right by the lake. Summer night magic, guaranteed.

Georgia Mountain Scottish Festival & Highland Games

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: June 7th – June 8th

Admission: Tickets available for purchase

Bagpipes, kilts, and centuries old tradition! Experience the rich culture of the Highlands with athletic competitions, traditional music, dancing, food, and clan heritage. It’s a trip to Scotland with no passport required.

Hiawassee Rod Run

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: June 19th – 21st

Admission: Adults are $10, Children 12 & Under are free!

Nothing says summertime like classic cars, hot rods, and a little friendly competition. Whether you’re a gearhead or just along for the ride, the Rod Run is full of chrome, charm, and cool mountain breezes.

Revisiting Creedence

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: June 21st

Admission: Tickets are $30 + handling

Get ready to belt out “Bad Moon Rising” and “Proud Mary.” This Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute brings the soulful, swampy rock hits that made CCR legends. It’s a night of nostalgia and music that hits just right.

Mountain Fling Craft Show

Where: Young Harris

Dates: June 21 + June 22

Admission: Free

Love all things handmade? From pottery to woodworking and everything in between, this juried craft show is perfect for finding something truly special, whether you’re gift shopping or treating yourself.

July 2025

Fireworks Over Lake Chatuge

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: July 4th

Admission: Free

Nothing beats fireworks reflecting off the lake. Celebrate the Fourth of July with food vendors, live music by the Nathan Morgan Band, and a firework show that lights up the sky and your summer spirit. (Bring a blanket… trust us.)

Concerts at Eller Holler

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: July 10th, July 17th, July 24th, and July 31st

Admission: FREE! Donations appreciated.

This charming, open air stage is made for summer nights. Think local music, cool breezes, and a cozy community vibe. Perfect for winding down or starting the weekend early.

A1A Jimmy Buffett Tribute

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: July 19th

Admission: $35 + handling

If summer had a soundtrack, Jimmy Buffett would be on it. Grab your flipflops and head to this lakeside tribute full of island vibes, Parrothead favorites, and just the right amount of “Margaritaville” spirit.

Laser Light Show

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: July 26th

Admission: $10 per person and Kids 12 & under are free

Forget fireworks, this high energy laser show takes center stage. Set to music and bursting with color, it’s a visual experience that’ll have the whole family in awe all night long.

August 2025

75th Anniversary Celebration

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: August 14th

Admission: Free

Before the fair kicks off, celebrate 75 years of fun, tradition, and community. Expect a joyful mix of history, live entertainment, and local flavor to remind you of why we love it here so much.

75th Annual Georgia Mountain Fair

Where: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee

Dates: August 15th – 23rd

Admission: Adults are $7 and Kids 12 and under are free!
